Winemaker Sergio Carlei’s Shiraz is heavy on herb (some say mint; others call it eucalyptus) from nose to palate. Cherry is the other dominant flavor here, so much so on the nose that the cherry-herb combination struck one reviewer as “cough syrupy.” Mouthfeel is velvety; cedar and vanilla round out the palate and finish.
