Tiza 2005 Malbec (Mendoza)
Price
$20
Tight and compact at first, then it shows a lot of rustic leather, herbs and olive along with plum, berry and ample oak. This is a charged wine, and its power is omnipresent even if it shows only moderate depth and structure. Finishes toasty, with mocha and cappuccino aftertastes.

Tiza 2006 Malbec (Mendoza)
Price
$20
Tiza is a very good Malbec with ripe, minty, lush aromas that lead straight to juicy black plum and blackberry flavors. It’s intense and powerful, but shows good balance, generosity and proper but strong oak. Expect plenty of kick, power and darkness from this wine. Drink throughout 2009 and into 2010.
