Dark, intense and spicy, this Zin avoids the herbal qualities that can creep into Paso Robles reds. Briary blackberry fruit finishes with a touch of vanilla and some mild wood tannins. Only 150 cases made.

Soft and juicy, with a lot of sweet, ripe, up-front fruit flavors, including blueberries. Deft and supple, with elegant, modulated tannins and low acidity. Creamy and rich, this is a very pleasant, fruit-driven wine that offers solid enjoyment. Editors’ Choice.

Smeels incredibly concentrated and sweet, with powerful apricot and honey aromas tinged with vanilla, spice and smoke. Tastes terrifically sweet, with a gooet, unctuous mouthfeel. There's some brilliant fruity flavor balanced by refreshing acidity, and the finish is long, sweet and smooth.

Dark as you’d expect and chock full of elaborately crafted dark stone fruits. For all its outsized flavors, it’s soft in both acidity and tannins; yet, there’s something robust and chewy about it, enough so that it could accompany rich meats. It’s well made and nicely balanced.

Assertively fruity, with black cherry, blackcurrant, tobacco, smoke and sage notes. Drinks dry and flavorful, a nicely balanced wine of harmony and softness. Very low acidity, is the result of a warm climate. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

Plush and juicy, the wine has a sweet edge that highlights its bright cherry, berry, cola, coffee, chocolate and spice flavors. Not quite Port, but a fun wine that would be better after dinner than alongside it.

Has wildflower, citrus, honey, and tropical fruit aromas and flavors. A fruit-driven wine, dry and savory, and a little rough around the edges. May improve with a year or so of age.
