Tommasi 1997 Ca'Florian Red (Amarone della Valpolicella)
-
$55
Here’s an Amarone with something for everyone. The aromas of leather, smoked meat, tar, cola and menthol combine into a delicious, complex whole. Tommasi 2001 Ca' Florian Red (Amarone della Valpolicella Classico)

$68
In contrast to Tommasi’s regular Amarone, this is a darker, richer, more brooding wine, loaded with chocolaty, fudge-like flavors and roasted fruit. It’s mouthfilling and supple, with a lingering finish that bodes well for cellaring, although it’s certainly approachable now.
