Despite heavy oak, this wine is lean and jagged, with sharp cherry and plum flavors offset by some spice. Quite woody throughout, with a warm, solid finish. Hard tannins create a tight mouthfeel. Flavorful and real, but unforgiving.  — M.S.  (3/1/2005)
