Vaza 2006 Crianza Tempranillo (Rioja)
Online Exclusive
Price
$15
From Freixenet, this is perfectly good yet familiar, which for $15 is about as good as we can expect. The palate is juicy and also smooth, with red berry, tomato and herbal flavors. There’s good depth and balance throughout, and the finish rounds into form and closes things out in a tasty, subdued fashion.

Vaza 2007 Crianza Tempranillo (Rioja)
Online Exclusive
Price
$15
Light on the nose, with dilute red-berry aromas and mild leathery, cheesy notes. The palate is kind of raw and lean, with tangy, crisp flavors of pie cherry and raspberry. Dry, peppery, snappy wine, with definitive crispness.

Vaza 2008 Red (Rioja)
Online Exclusive
Price
$12
Solid and a touch earthy, with rubbery berry fruit and a bit of herbal essence. Crisp, firm and snappy in the mouth, with berry, cherry and peppery herbal flavors and finish. Nothing but regular; decent for the price.
