Vecordia 2008 Crianza Tempranillo (Ribera del Duero)

Only 400 cases of this top-level crianza were made, and it smells rich and good, with notes of ripe berry and plum and a mild syrupy note. Although it feels big, it’s also fresh and layered, with pure berry, herb, spice and oak flavors. Toasty, smooth and elegant as a whole. Drink now–2015.  — M.S.  (12/31/2012)
