Vega Sicilia 2000 Unico Tempranillo Blend (Ribera del Duero)

Vega Sicilia 2003 Unico Tempranillo Blend (Ribera del Duero)

  • Online Exclusive
  1. $450

Hailing from the hottest vintage in years, this is round, rubbery and showing sweet, rooty aromas of root beer, cola, mocha and stewed plum. Vega Sicilia 1987 Unico Red (Ribera del Duero)

  1. $200

One of the mysteries of Vega is how a wine released so late can be so fresh and vibrant. The ’87 is no exception, featuring red raspberries and cherries counterbalanced by cedary oak. Focused, lean and dry, this vintage of Unico may turn out to be too elegant for its own good, but the delicately fruity, intricately wrought finish seems to go on and on.
