Deep and secure on the nose, with richness and a strong whiff of fresh leather. The palate is serious as it deals black fruit and spice. Chocolate and rugged tannins carry the hard, almost grabby finish. A power¬ful but approachable blend.

Slightly earthy and rubbery smelling, with a pinch of wet dog fur on the nose. It feels full and hefty, with sweet blackberry flavors leading to a round, sweet finish. This is solid and easy to like.

Bacon and leather meld with modest black-fruit aromas on the nose of this Tempranillo-Cabernet Sauvignon-Bobal blend. It’s fairly plump, with blackberry and vanilla flavors. Ripe and tasty enough, but neither elevated nor complex.

The tea and raspberry aromas are easygoing, and that best describes this organic Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s powerful enough on the palate, with a good berry flavor that tilts towards raspberry. The finish is herbal and peppery.

More minty oak than fruit on the nose, with simple but clean candied fruit flavors. A bit short on depth and complexity, but totally drinkable, especially after some airing. Decent texture to the finish, with leftover spice and wood-based flavors.

Some heft and richness propel this bargain wine to a higher level. There are even some bacon, beef and leather aromas in addition to the plump fruit scents. Chewy and chunky, with flavors of black cherry and raspberry. Yet still tangy and refreshing enough to avoid being clumsy.

Honey, pear and sugar cane are the dominating flavors in thi sticky, rich, unctuous sweet wine. There isn’t a whole lot else to say about it: you have to have an aggressive penchant for candy to get into this style of wine.
