Villa Petriolo 2002 Sangiovese (Chianti)

Earthy enough, with hints of mushroom, vanilla and prune. The weight is there, although the power is only middle of the road. Finishes mildly tangy, with acidity pushing it. Overall it’s an easy drinker.  — W.E.  (4/1/2005)
