Westland 2008 Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)
Price
$18
Westland is the second label of Methven Family Vineyards. This outstanding value opens with pretty scents of rose petals, cocoa, baking spices and toasted coconut. Tart cranberry fruit carries its herbal side lightly, and the balance throughout is just right.

Westland 2008 Citizen’s Cuvée Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)
Online Exclusive
Price
$22
Westland is the second label of Methven Family Vineyards. This seems sure to be a popular wine—broadly fruity, lightly chocolaty, firmly tannic, yet clearly varietal. The fruit brings cherries and berries, rounded out nicely with chocolate and coconut flavors. The wine shows some astringent tannins and finishing earthiness.
