Cola and cassis lead off here. There is a strong cherry cola center that’s backed by menthol, toast, coffee, spice, plum and black cherry too. This is a fairly powerful wine-spicy and rich. A bit warm on the finish.

Youth characterizes this fresh wine, with crisp, citrusy acidity and firm tannins. The flavors are of cranberries, pomegranates, rhubarb and cola, with a thoroughly dry finish. Very much in the mode of a good, cool-area RRV Pinot Noir.

Smells almost like cola up front. The theme carries through, adding hints of coffee, black cherry, prune, plum and toast. Tannins are fairly ripe. The finish is moderate in length, toasty at the end.

Displays ample toasty oak over caramel and cherries. Vanilla and dried-spice accents and a chewy mouthfeel round out this full-bodied candidate. Substantial tannins show on the long, smoky finish. May well improve over the next year or two.

Rich and juicy in cherry, cranberry, red currant, licorice and oaky vanilla flavors, but finishes a bit hot in alcohol, with a sweet, caramelized finish.
